The aim of the webinar is to discuss the importance of educational actors in the digitalisation of education and ponder the question: is an educational approach to the digitalisation of education possible? The perspectives of students, teachers, and parents will feed into a discussion over the burning issues of digital education and the role digital citizenship education can play in fostering a collaborative, educational approach to the digital transition of the education sector: in a world where digital technologies do not just affect education but every aspect of our lives, shouldn’t the digitalisation of education be accompanied by an education for the digital age?
The discussion will also focus on the challenges and opportunities faced by the different educational actors (students, teachers, and parents), building on the following questions:
● What do different educational stakeholders (students, teachers, and parents) want digital citizenship education to look like? Is a dialogue between the actors possible?
● Can the digitalisation of education (focusing on infrastructures, tools, and technical skills) integrate an education to digital citizenship (focusing on digital ethics, well-being, citizenship, and rights)?
● Can the digital transition in education become a value-led transformation in line with the needs and concerns of educational actors?
