This webinar has been organised by second-year Master’s students of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka, under the mentorship of Prof. Vesna Kovač, PhD, and will be presenting key findings on how mass media report on the leadership of educational institutions in Croatia and how these reports align with global trends.
The webinar consists of three main sections. First, an analysis of common media themes related to educational leadership will be presented, covering topics such as principalship challenges, decision-making transparency, job insecurity, and crisis management. Second, key issues such as job insecurity and school board selection will be explored, along with proposed solutions. Third, policy recommendations for improving the selection and professionalization of school principals will be formulated.
These insights are summarized in a research poster designed to facilitate discussion with the audience. Through this webinar, we aim to foster dialogue among educators, policymakers, and researchers, contributing to the improvement of current issues related to educational leadership.
