The aim of the webinar is to discuss the challenges in education that have resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic since the Fall of the Berlin Wall.

The discussion will also focus on the fact that three decades into democracy, the focus of educational leaders has shifted from strengthening democratic ideas toward developing different processes aimed at building successful schools that are capable of withstanding turbulent times.

Exchange of good practices and an in-depth interview will be an integral part of the webinar.

1. Interview of Sofia Reis, an educational researcher who recently completed her doctorate dissertation, by Rodrigo Melo,the ECNAIS chairperson. 

2. Discussion of the following research question: "What is the lived experience of successful, assertive educational leaders as they navigate extreme turbulence?", with Sofia Reis.

3. Exchange of participants' insights into the researcher's findings.
