The ENABLE project supports the professional development of primary and secondary teachers, as well as school heads, to stimulate the social and emotional development of Migrant, Refugee, and Displaced Children in the school environment through the creation of an online training on trauma-informed practices in schools.
The ENABLE Final Conference, taking place on March 20, 2025, in Brussels, will bring together key stakeholders in education, mental health, and migration policy to discuss strategies for fostering the school integration of migrant and refugee children.
Through a round table discussion, experts will explore the impact of psychosocial trauma on migrant students, best practices for creating inclusive school environments, and policy recommendations at both the national and European levels. The conversation will feature insights from leading organizations such as Mental Health Europe, the LifeLong Learning Platform, and the Migrant Policy Group.
The event will also introduce the ENABLE Policy Toolkit, a resource designed to support policymakers, educators, and practitioners in implementing effective inclusion strategies. A World Café session will follow, allowing participants to engage in interactive discussions and share perspectives on fostering inclusive education.
The conference will be streamed live via ELNE’s Webex platform, ensuring broader accessibility for online participants.
